John Keller

Welcome to the official website of songwriter and guitarist John Keller. A central NY native, The Rome (NY) Observer defined John Keller's music as “lively...original musical art… chunky blues, love ballads and Americana folk tunes.” But his music goes beyond that. John Keller writes songs that have souls of their own. He paints characters and images in your mind so clearly that it's almost like he draws the audience into the story.

11.29.11 - Peter Obenesser applied his Flute-ness to some album tracks and I re-did some vocals & added harmonica to others. The project may be done recording-wise. Now I sit back and listen to what I have & decide what to mix in/out. True mixing to start next month.

11.1.11 - This coming Monday, Steve Shrey/Sax & Shaye Jennings/Backing Vocals will record their parts for the album project(s).

10.3.11 - Alan Shulman hits the studio tonight to lay down the piano & organ tracks. He'll also add some guitar tracks.

10.2.11 - Performed on The Wax Museum with Ronnie Dark WVOA-FM Syracuse to promote the upcoming CDs. Played 3 songs live & 2 from the CDs. Great response, esp. the recorded tracks.

9.1.11 - The CD(s) are getting closer to done. Mike Stone will be recording his guitar parts in a couple weeks, followed by Steve Shrey on sax & Alan Shulman/ piano & organ. Looking for female backing vocals. Anyone?
